<p>The hunt begins as the whales dive beneath a school of herring emitting high pitched calls. In a panic the fish flee to the surface where the whales concentrate them by releasing columns of air bubbles. The bubbles act as a barrier and the fish will not swim through it.</p>
<p>The whale co-ordinate their efforts so the bubbles surround the herring. Finally the pod leader emits a sound that cues all the whales to ascend with mouths open&#8230;</p>
